Breathtaking Oregon Coast Elopement Photography

How can I properly express how much this wedding meant to me?

Honestly, I can’t.

I first met Haley when I was 18. I had just moved to Columbia, Missouri, from Kansas City. She had just moved there from the St. Louis area. We were two weird 18-year-olds figuring out our lives. We both went to Mizzou. We both worked at Olive Garden. We both were sassy asf and didn’t care what anyone else thought of us.

We spent our nights closing down the old OG, and we’d follow that up with a late-night trip to IHOP for chocolate chip pancakes and cinnastacks.

(side note, I miss my metabolism) ANYWAY

Haley and I have one of those relationships where we can go months without talking and pick up right where we left off. She’s a big reason why I am who I am, and she deserves the entire world.

Now? She has the entire world, because she has Matt. And as a Portland Elopement Photographer, I couldn’t WAIT to photograph this incredibly special day.

I remember when Haley first started talking to me about Matt. She said they met on Tinder, that he was just a fling, that it wouldn’t become anything serious.

YEAH OKAY GOOD JOKE, HALEY

Right- so on to the big day. Once they were all ready and dolled up, we drove so far up the mountain that we were literally in the clouds. I started to worry about weather and stuff on the beach, but Mother Nature was a goddess to us. And then suddenly we were the only people on the beach, and it was time.

They said I do, I wept, and then we did what anyone who just eloped would do – got food and played pool.

Haley and Matt, thank you so much for sharing your day with me. I cannot tell you what it means to have been such an integral part of it. Here’s to both of you, forever.
