Cozy Winter Engagement Session

I’ve never been one to like winter, especially in those midwestern states where winter hits hard. But these two made freezing outside so much easier.

Danielle and Derek were 10 years in the making. Like a couple of ships passing in the night, they kept missing the opportunity to take their friendship to the next level. Until 2019 when timing finally lined up and allowed these two to really show how much they each meant to each other over the past decade.

So finally, Derek planned a whole elaborate surprise for Danielle complete with their families and all the candles in the world, and he asked her to spend forever with him!

Thankfully, our schedules lined up when I was on a trip to Wisconsin for a wedding, and we were able to meet up for their super sweet and snuggly engagement session. Life of a traveling wedding photographer, right??

We met up at Asylum Point Park just off of the west side of Lake Winnebago a few days after it had snowed all over Wisconsin, so we got that perfect wintry look for their photos. Then we headed over to New Moon Cafe in downtown Oshkosh for some hot cocoa and more snuggles. Plus ring + donut = perfection!!

Even though I ran to Las Vegas to escape the snow, I’d be happy to adventure in your hometown with you after fresh snow hits the ground. Get in touch so we can make some magic!
