Styled Hawaiian Sunset Wedding Session

Sometimes you just gotta get the creative juices flowing, and what better place to do that than in Haleiwa, Hawaii?

This Las Vegas wedding photographer packed up her bags and hopped on a plane to Oahu for an incredible styled shoot. If it sounds like I’m speaking a different language, a styled shoot is essentially a way for creatives to do a passion project and have fun with their work. A group of wedding vendors will collaborate to create a “fake wedding” in order to get some amazing photos to promote their work. It’s a great way for all of us to be creative and push the boundaries, while also inspiring real couples to do the same with their wedding!

Richel from For the Good Events styled up an entire elopement shoot at Loulu Palm, complete with every little detail, from a bed of florals to a donut cake to chandeliers in the trees! Working with her and this venue was a godsend, and you truly will never be disappointed with these vendors!

Anna and Elijah were prepping to get married for realsies, so they threw on some wedding attire and had a practice round to get the nerves out! The entire time I photographed their ceremony in front of the beach, I was a little nervous about the cloudy skies, but you’ll see why I had nothing to worry about.

After every detail was documented, we headed back to the beach for some sunset photos. Mother Nature knew what we were looking for, and boy did she deliver. The sky burst into oranges and pinks as the sun set over the Hawaiian horizon into the Pacific Ocean. And honestly? It was picture perfect (obviously).

I’m heading back to this same island in September, so if you’re looking for an Oahu wedding photographer, you can stop looking – I’m right here!
