Color Fight Anniversary Photos | Seven Magic Mountains LGBT Couples Photoshoot
Anniversary celebrations can be more than linen, wood, fruit, and the never-ending list of traditional gifts. Finding a truly unique way to celebrate your anniversary is always challenging (in the best way), but it’s all about representing who you are together as a a couple!
Katie and Nevi like to celebrate with a photoshoot every year and in my most humble and totally unbiased opinion, this is the BEST idea! What a great way to be able to look back on all the stages of your life together. Each year that you add to your collection, you get to see how little you’ve changed in the past year or look all the way back to “look at us little babies!” with the oldest shoots.
We chose to road trip out to Seven Magic Mountains for their anniversary shoot. This location is so special to me as a photographer, and as incredible as the images always are, nothing compares to the sheer beauty and majesty of these monoliths in person. This is one of my favorite spots to take all couples, but especially my LGBT+ photoshoots where couples find a special sense of celebration in the colorful towers.
A special request they had was a color fight! Throwing colorful powder at each other was an awesome idea for an anniversary — who doesn’t want to throw something at their spouse every now and then? The wind definitely had it out for Katie and made sure they were COATED before a drop ever touched Nevi. Hilarious! Staging fun ideas like this is the perfect way to get unique anniversary photos that are sure to capture your genuine love and joy together.
Happy anniversary, Katie and Nevi! I hope you have many more years of photoshoots and celebratory trips together!
