Downtown Columbia, MO Golden Fall Wedding | First Presbyterian Church + The Atrium on Tenth
Goodness gracious let’s talk about the wedding I’ve been waiting SO LONG for. (hint: it’s this one")
I was lucky enough to meet Mackenzie when I photographed her dear friends Marissa and Zach's wedding. Mackenzie was a bridesmaid and just a joy to be around. So when TJ popped the question (on top of a freakin’ mountain, mind you), I slid into those DMs, and obvi it worked out!
As a destination wedding photographer, I get to travel to some pretty incredible places. But truly, there’s nothing better for me than going back to my old stomping grounds in Missouri. And honestly, we were blessed with the most incredible sunshine and easy breezy weather – just like the day we had their engagement session! You can see their engagement photos here!
These two went through some wild times just to get to this day. They planned a whole wedding, re-planned it to accommodate for the pandemic, had a vendor change months before their big day… but ya know what? They ended up married. And that’s all that really matters at the end of the day!
This sunny Saturday started at The Broadway Hotel in the middle of downtown. The sweet ladies were pampered by the professionals from The Clip Joint while the guys cheersed cans of Logboat just down the hallway. Soon, it was time for everyone to get dressed, to get gifts exchanged, and to count down the hours until the ceremony. Mackenzie had a sweet first look with her father where we all got a little teary eyed, and then we were off to Peace Park for their first look and formal photos!
Let me tell ya what, this wedding party was beyond fun, and we were laughing non-stop the entire day. After their super fun formal photos, we jetted off to the church to do the dang thing! Once it was #official, we toured around downtown Columbia, MO, for their bride + groom photos. And the day full of perfect weather gave us the most perfect sunset, to no one’s surprise.
After the glowing golden hour faded, we went over to The Atrium on Tenth to dance the night away. The food was incredible, the DJ kept the beats going all night, and I only cried a handful of times during the first dance. It’s fine. I’m fine.
This incredible day was the most perfect way to cap off my traveling for 2020, and I’m beyond excited to get back into it in 2021. Congrats, Mackenzie and TJ!
Don’t wait to get onto my travel calendar – 2022 is already looking busy! 🎉
