Sundrenched Fall Engagement Session
It was supposed to be straight up downpouring during this session. Like, we were planning on rainboots and rainjackets and changing locations to something more paved and all the things to protect us from rain and mud.
As I so often like to say, the photo gods smiled upon us. Being a Las Vegas wedding photographer is so fun. Like for real I couldn’t ask for a better job.
However, it’s also tough when your clients live all over the country, especially when they’re in the midwest where the weather changes by the hour. But on days like this when you’re planning for a 70% chance of rain and you’re met with clear blue skies? There is nothing better.
I met Mackenzie and TJ when Mackenzie was a bridesmaid in another wedding I documented in early 2019. We stayed in touch via Instagram, and then when TJ popped the question, I (like the stalker I am) messaged her asking if she need a photog!
Yeah, I’m creepy. It’s fine. It worked out, right? RIGHT??
So we met up on a beautiful September Sunday morning to frolick in some freshly dampened grass, but we didn’t get rained on!!!!
Serious faces were not a thing during this session. These two were nonstop laughter the entire time! (if you look closely, you can even see Mackenzie making the goofiest face at her future hubby) And even when I was like, “okay, just wrap up together and breathe in this moment,” which is usually when people settle down and have soft smiles on, Mackenzie was cracking up 😂
We finished their session with the mantra everyone should remember:
ball is life.
(Mackenzie picked the correct team, btw)
Major congrats to these two sweethearts! I seriously cannot wait for their wedding next fall!!
Traveling for love is my favorite way to travel- so hit me up if you’re getting married soon! I’d love to capture your special day!
