Intimate Wedding in Del Rio, Texas
Love is international. Love is a destination. Love is so special. Each and every day, I sit down and think about how truly incredible it is that I get to document love stories. What's even better is when those love stories aren't in my own backyard. As a Las Vegas wedding photographer, I absolutely love to travel. Air travel is often stressful for most people (ask my boyfriend haha, he's one of them), but I find it so invigorating to be up in the clouds and looking at how small the world really is.
The cool thing about family-oriented weddings is that everyone comes together to provide what they can for the big day. For this family, that meant bringing chairs from across the state to properly seat everyone at the reception! Bonita’s details were stunning, and next thing you know, it was time to get ready! Once she was dolled up and ready to go, we went over to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses to get these two lovebirds married.
After a touching ceremony, Bonita and Tyler were officially married- and it was time to get this party started! So we jetted back to the backyard reception that Bonita’s parents set up for dancing, fun, and a whole lot of authentic Mexican food.
Both the bride and groom are musicians, and the sun peaked out from the clouds at the perfect time, just as Bonita began to play Skinny Love by Bon Iver on the piano.
And then as a sweet surprise from the bride’s parents, a mariachi band showed up to entertain the couple and their guests!
The night finished with a beautiful sunset and some sweet dancing, and my heart was SINGING, y’all. Congrats, Bonita & Tyler!
Feeling inspired? I may be a Las Vegas wedding photographer, but I’m always traveling around the globe, and would be honored to be a part of your big day no matter where you are!
