Fat Tuesday Las Vegas Anniversary Photos
I often feel like I can be friends with my couples. With these two, it was almost instantly that I KNEW I could. I mean, when the inquiry starts with “We are best best friends and love to laugh and play and eat and drink! We started rollerblading (to the bar, of course) and puzzling in the last year” that’s it for me tbh. Immediate friendship.
When Taylor inquired with me, she told me that she and Nathan had eloped in Vegas with just the two of them in April 2021, just a week after getting engaged (that military life, tho). They planned a big wedding in Mexico for that summer where they were able to celebrate with all of their friends and family, but there was something about Vegas that kept calling them back. So fast forward to April of 2022, and these two celebrated their first anniversary with a trip back to where it all began. What better way to commemorate it than with an anniversary session?
After working out the details, we decided to meet in the middle of a hot April day. This not only allowed us to have fewer people in the background of their photos, but it also meant I got to be challenged with the interesting lighting and different angles!
About halfway through their session, the party from the night before called for a little... hair of the dog. So we made a pitstop at Fat Tuesday to really make their photos super Vegas-y.
I always say that your photo session should feel less like a chore (stand here and pose in this exactly perfect way), and more like a date! So this stop for daiquiris was exactly the vibe.
We made our way from Fat Tuesday all the way through the covered Fremont Street area, laughing the entire time! You’d be surprised at how empty it is at 11:30 a.m. on a Wednesday – especially considering how Vegas operates 24/7.
These two danced in front of the Circa, touched tongues when they thought I wasn’t looking, squad-ed up in the middle of the walkway, and ultimately started off my day so incredibly. I truly didn’t want the session to end because of how much fun I had with them, but they had a pool party to get to. So like, I guess I get it. I guess.
The biggest congrats to these two on their first of many years to come! Drinks on me during your next trip!
