Heartfelt and Charming Jewel Box Wedding

Describing this wedding as heartfelt and intimate is an understatement, but honestly? It’s spot on. Emily and Cody have one of the sweetest relationships where they genuinely care about each other’s wellbeing. I mean, most wedded couples have that, but these two? It truly exudes from their faces. The little glances, the sweet gestures… tbh this Las Vegas wedding photographer is tearing up just thinking about it!!!

The two started their day at their loft to get ready together.
(Oscar, their pup, had a prior engagement, so he was not present for the photos)

Couples getting ready together is my new favorite, and I’m officially requesting it from all of my couples forever. Okay thanks.

Once they were dolled up, we traveled over to the cute little gazebo in St. Peters where they had a super sweet ceremony, surrounded (literally) by only their closest friends and family (and me, the stranger with the camera lol).

The two chose to create a silk bouquet, accepting flowers from everyone at their ceremony to create it, thus making the most personal token that these two can keep forever.

They read their vows to each other, line by line, and as they placed rings on each other’s fingers, they concluded with, “I enthusiastically consent to the best life ever.”

I wiped my tears and then we jetted over to the Jewel Box in Forest Park for a few portraits before beginning their reception! (also the Jewel Box is my new favorite wedding venue and I am only accepting weddings there now, okay thanks)

Cody sang “Just the Way You Are” by Billy Joel to Emily, which was the first song he ever recorded for her. And boy howdy, he freakin’ nailed it! I started crying, but honestly who’s surprised? And then we danced!!

And then there was trivia!! Yes, trivia!!! And I knew…. some of the answers!! Like the fact that Emily’s favorite color is blue (duh), or which song Cody first recorded for Emily (also a given), or who proposed first (it was Emily!! With a ribbon she tied around his finger!! I die from the cutes!!!!)

Some guests were dying of starvation, clearly, since they had to answer a question correctly to get dinner. TORTUROUS.

Thank you, Emily and Cody, for sharing your biggest day with me. It was truly an honor to be such a big part of it, and I know that the best is yet to come for both of you (and Oscar).
